Jenkins raises $500,000 in Q2

Jenkins Raises Over $500,000 in 2nd Quarter

Campaign has received 1,155 West Virginia contributions

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Evan Jenkins raised over $500,000 in the 2nd Quarter, besting his prior quarters by a 2.5-to-1 margin and bringing his overall fundraising total over $1.1 million.

More importantly, the campaign has now received 1,155 contributions from West Virginians; as of the previous fundraising quarter, Nick Rahall counted just 115 in-state contributions — 7% of his total.

“The strong surge in Evan’s fundraising this quarter is a clear indication voters are ready for change after 38 years of failed representation,” Jenkins strategist Andy Seré said. “With 1,155 Mountain State contributions to date — exponentially more than the incumbent — West Virginians are making a powerful statement that the anti-coal billionaires and D.C. lobbyists funding Nick Rahall’s campaign won’t be able to buy him another two years in Congress.”
